SPARKLING'S EXPERIENCE:

We all know the importance of foundation in our makeup routine, but with so many options and types of foundations available in market its difficult to choose your HG foundation. There are many types of foundations to choose from according to your skin type and liking i.e Cream, Liquid, Powder, Mousse etc. Every type of foundation also provide different levels of coverage i.e light, medium and full. For full coverage Paint sticks are trusted, which is mostly a demand of professional makeup (model + bridal). In Pakistan many people even use paint sticks in their daily routine or events like a pro. I personally prefer liquid foundations but being a blogger has given me an opportunity to play with paint sticks from Stageline range. Before this I only got paint sticks applied on me for my bridal makeup or any media ventures, so this is exactly the first time I was using them personally, learning along. Stageline Paint sticks are not a hard-task, as they are creamy, glides smoothly, apply easily, blends well and have a margin to build up the coverage from Medium to full. Blending can be easily done with fingers, but better to use a wet/dry puff, beauty blender as per your liking and convenience. Mostly suitable for Normal to oily/combination skin type. Exfoliate your skin off any dry patches before using it, as it may enhance dryness. With a very good exfoliation and a generous application of moisturiser it can be applied on dry skin. On me it didn't cake, as I always apply light handed and blend well, can be set with a setting powder or a setting spray. One thing they are not fragrance-free and very strangely smells like sweet dates, it fades away with time, personally I am not bothered much. It can be easily removed with a good makeup remover. I got three shades to try: Ivory, Asia 1 and Asia 2.
  • IVORY: It is the lightest of the three, more appropriate for a fair skin, with neutral tones. Can be used for highlighting in face-sculpting.
  • ASIA 1: This one goes for the medium fair skin tone, it has warm undertones to the extent of almost neutral, but will surely suites Asian fair skin tones. Among all this is my shade (for reference I am NC 20-25)
  • ASIA 3: This shade is perfect for a darker or tan skin tone. Clear yellow undertones. In face sculpting it can be used for contouring.

I love using all three for face sculpting for formal makeup. If you want me to share my Face-Sculpting pictorial using these three do let me know in the comments.
I am satisfied with overall performance of these paint sticks by Stageline, and not to forget the awesome packaging, all silver, shiny and sturdy. Although the silver may get stained while use, but can be cleaned afterwards.
You get 15 ml of product for PKR 945/- and it has a shelf life of 24 months (2 years). Stageline is available on their special display counters, nationwide.

  3. Thank YOU for posting the swatches and reviewing these! I have been looking for some info on them without swatching on the counters and there was none! Have you used the Kryolan, Color Studio or Luscious ones - if yes, I would love some comparison!
And a big fat YES to the contouring pictorial !

    1. Sure will post that. Well as far the comparison is concerned I ask my sis.in.law to apply her kryolan stick in w3 on me, its good but tend to look cakey if applied by an amatuer like me, I used luscious one but cannot compare my experience as when I bought that 3 yrs ago I didnt know it wont suit my dry skin in winter, unfortunately i tried it then n was not impressed, it crached me as I had scales... gave it away, only to learn afterwards that it was not suitable for dry skin, but let me admit I find these more creamy n blendable n appropriate for normal n formal use equally.
